"the constraints placed on the Committee by existing legislation, and the increasing number of railway related companies outside of the RHC’s scope to carry out its function."

He relinquished his chairmanship of the Railway Heritage Committee, on his appointment as Minister for Transport in the previous Government. Previously he had held the post of Vice-President of the Campaign for Better Transport (formerly Transport2000) with which environmental transport body he has been associated for over 25 years. read more.... |
